Raymond K. Chung, M.D.

Dr. Chung is a Board Certified Orthopedic surgeon who joined Orthopedic Specialty Clinic in August 2000. He grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania and later received his undergraduate B.A. degree at the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Biology and Philosophy. He continued his training, attending Jefferson Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. After medical school he served as intern at Pennsylvania Hospital, the nation's first hospital.

Dr. Chung trained in orthopedic surgery at George Washington University Hospital, Washington D.C., where his clinical rotations included the Washington Hospital Center, Children's National Medical Center and INOVA Fairfax Hospital. He completed a subspecialty fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.

Dr. Chung welcomes the continued opportunity to serve patients with general orthopedic problems in addition to those with problems of the hand and wrist. He invites patients to ask questions and stresses the importance of patient education.
